Jeff began his career with Acme Dock Specialists at the tender age of 14. Under the tutelage of his father and grandfather, Jeff worked his way through the service department, warehouse, back office, sales, and territory management.

In 1984, Jeff moved to Los Angeles where he joined the Rite-Hite team. Over the next three years, Jeff gained valuable experience outside the ADS realm. He moved back to KC in 1987 and assumed the position of vice president.

In 1992, he assumed the role of president, managing all aspects of the company’s operations, and, in 2004, he purchased the company.

Did you know …
Jeff is an avid golfer and plays 60-80 rounds of golf per year, which accounts for his handicap of 6! His perfect day would consist of waking up early; enjoying a cup of coffee on his deck while reading the newspaper; hitting the greens around 10:00; playing 36 holes of golf; and then finishing off the day with a nice dinner.

Little-known fact
Jeff loves to cook … and, according to Jeff, he’s pretty good at it.

Andy has a background as a millwright journeyman, specializing in conveyors, power plants, fiberglass, and car plants. He also has G6 certification in welding. Prior arriving at ADS, Andy traveled six to eight months out of the year for work. After becoming a father for the first time, Andy decided he wanted to stay close to his young family.

Andy came to ADS in 2004 and spent his first three years as a field technician. Since 2007, Andy has served as a field service rep. He enjoys being “a problem-solver, taking equipment that is not working or not working well and repairing it or making it better through upgrades.”

Did you know …
When Andy is not problem-solving and exceeding customer expectations, he enjoys spending time with his imaginative young children. Even though rough-housing is more of Andy’s style, he admits to having played a princess a time or two.

Little-known fact
Andy is the youth pastor at The Cause Community Church.

Steve started his career as a technician performing residential installations and then eventually moved to the commercial side. He likes working with clients from different industries and finding solutions that meet their particular needs. Steve joined the ADS team in 2007 and received the W.B. Mills award the following year. What does Steve like best about ADS? “Being recognized as a person and not simply a number that punches a clock every day.”

Did you know …
Although Steve loves to problem-solve and provide creative solutions for his ADS customers, his idea of a perfect day involves “not working.” He enjoys relaxing at Table Rock Lake, spending time with his family, and hitting all the attractions in Branson.

Little-known fact
Steve has a secret, sensitive side and enjoys cuddling with his wife and watching “chick flicks” on the Lifetime Miracle Network.

At ADS, Greg has the longest tenure of anyone in the company … with the exception of Jeff Lynch, of course. What does he like best about the company? “The people.” Greg started with ADS as a service technician in 1990 and became the service manager in 2010. He has certifications for Rite-Hite, Autoquip, and Liftmaster. ADS appreciates having Greg as part of its team, and is thankful that he didn’t pursue his childhood dream of becoming a trashman.

Did you know …
During Greg’s favorite month (summer),you can find him at the lake, fishing and playing in the water. He’s got all the water toys you can imagine, but his favorite activity is knee boarding. Yes, he does do tricks (such as 360s), but, unlike the slick “hotdogs” on the lake, Greg says, “I do all my tricks in slow motion.” It’s all about maintaining dignity and not wiping out.

Little-known fact
Greg would love to take a road trip and travel throughout all of Canada.

Luke enjoys spending time with his family … especially when watching a great Nebraska football game. If Luke won the lottery, the first thing he would do (after paying off debt and padding his nest egg) is donate a million dollars to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. After that, Luke would spend time traveling with his family.

Luke married his high-school sweetheart.

Danielle likes helping customers. Her affinity could have something to do with her background—she has a bachelor’s degree in psychology. “I understand people, and that’s what customer service is all about. I’m good at it and I like it.” Danielle joined the ADS team in 2011 and enjoys that “the company allows me the freedom to work independently, but I know I can ask for help if needed.”

Did you know …
Danielle got her first taste of auto racing during college—“only because there was nothing else to watch on Sunday afternoons”—and from that point on she was hooked. Danielle has a passion for both NASCAR and Formula 1 races, and she frequently combines her vacations with trips to the races. Her ideal vacation would be a trip to Monaco to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Little-known fact
Danielle has rescued two dogs from the Wayside Waifs shelter: Carmen (a lab/whippet mix) and Fernando (a hound mix). For Danielle, a perfect day would be spent playing with her “babies” all day.

Heath is a founding father to his fraternity, Delta Chi, that he helped start when he was a freshman in college. He has served in many executive roles within the organization while an undergraduate. Heath enjoys giving back to the organization and now serves on the Alumni Board of Trustees.

Nick Lindeman joined ADS in 2006 as a field technician performing a wide range of work on loading dock and overhead door equipment. He enjoys working for a small company where everyone’s work is appreciated. In early 2015, Nick accepted the position of Field Service Coordinator where he began working directly with the sales team, service technicians, and the service manager coordinating projects and fulfilling customer needs. He enjoys solving problems and working with others to find the best solution for the customer.

Did you know …
Nick enjoys attending Kansas City Royals games on hot summer nights and spending quality time with him family. In his few hours of spare time a week, he assist with coaching his son’s soccer team and occasionally catches a football game on Sunday afternoon.

Little-known fact
Nick is the pickiest eater in the world and only enjoys eating Chipotle.

Like her father, Acme Dock President Jeffrey Lynch, Kaitlyn started with the company at the age of 14. She helped out in the office doing some filing and answering the phones, but the introduction of an automated phone system (as well as the start of high school) ended her summer employment.

She moved to Nashville for college, and in 2013, she earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in Music Business with a focus in Accounting before moving back to Kansas City.

Did you know …
Kaitlyn may have been born in 1990, but her parents raised her on the Music of the Gods (classic rock). She has a Pink Floyd tattoo (Wish You Were Here.. Great song!), learned to whistle by listening to Guns N Roses’ Patience over and over again, and the first song she ever learned to play on guitar was Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’. Thanks, Dad! Her favorite thing in the world is going to concerts and Chiefs games with her dad… She probably attends 25 shows a year and rarely misses a home game.

Little known fact …
Kaitlyn was a cheerleader, all-state soprano, athlete, honor student, played the flute in her high school marching band, AND sang the National Anthem at all home sporting events! Nerd alert!

As he was growing up, Derek helped his father in his vocation as an auto mechanic. “I found that I was drawn to repairing mechanical devices, and I decided to pursue it further after attending college.” In his current position at ADS, Derek gets to service a wide range of equipment. “To maintain and repair the equipment, you have to be skilled in multiple areas—mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc. I like the challenge of using all of those skills.”

Did you know …
Derek loves spending time in his “man cave,” also known as his “shop.” (You can’t really call it a “workshop” because not much “work” goes on in there.) Derek tinkers with his babies—a 2000 Corvette and a classic 1979 Trans Am—changing the oil and washing and waxing them. And, sometimes, Derek puts out the extra effort and just sits back and admires them.

Derek has been known to stray from his comfort zone and occasionally eat salad.

As a boy, Paxton wanted to play first base for the Kansas City Royals; but his career path changed as he got older, and he graduated from UMKC with a degree in business administration. Throughout college, Paxton spent his summers working in sales for industrial construction. That created a nice stepping stone, leading to his current position at ADS as a product rep. Paxton enjoys being part of the ADS team because “I have the freedom to take care of our customers the best way I know how without all of the micromanaging and red tape of larger corporations.”

Did you know …
Paxton’s favorite aspect about his job is that no two days are the same—he enjoys coming up with creative solutions for problems. When he’s not problem-solving, you might be able to find Paxton at his favorite vacation spot—Charleston, South Carolina where history abounds and the food is gastronomical.

A perfect day for Brad is “any day that my son has a great day.” As for workdays, Brad says, “You can’t beat spending the majority of your day on the road and not being trapped behind a desk.” Brad has a passion for golf and he makes it to the greens about every other week. Ideally, Brad would retire early just so he could play more golf.

Brad’s wife is from Albania. He met her while she was attending school in Omaha.

No phone … no computer … 100-degree weather … and lying poolside. That’s a perfect day for Richard. In the evening, when the temperature plummets to 99.7, Richard likes to go for a run. But when the weather becomes totally unbearable in the autumn (say 66 degrees), Richard distracts himself by hunting. Nothing makes him feel better than a hunk of venison jerky.

Richard has undergone seven surgeries to correct a heart condition he’s had since birth. It’s been tough, but he’s fine now.

She is an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan, which causes for interesting Big 12 games with the Kansas and Kansas State fans in the other offices. She is also a big Chicago Cubs fan which leads to a not so friendly rivalry with her husband and step-son, who are Cardinals fans. (boo)
